IGP Val de Loire Vendée
This cuvée evolves each year according to what we wish to explore. Sometimes we want to try something different in the vineyard, sometimes in the cellar, or perhaps we simply want to make a wine that completely changes from our usual style. The result will always be a unique wine, and Banc d’Essai is its name.
For the 2018 vintage, we produced a cuvée made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon and experimented with macerating destemmed grapes directly in 228-litre oak barrels. The result is a rich, sun-kissed and full-bodied wine.

Gown: Deep garnet red, clear and bright.Nose: Dark fruits, blackcurrant, spicy notes.
Palate: Blackcurrant, black cherry and white pepper. Generous and full-bodied.
Food and wine pairings
Lamb shank, marinated game, grilled rib steak, aubergine rigatoni bake.
